The design of the Pomellato Veleno pendant earrings was awarded the US design patent USD550581S, titled Set of earrings. The patent was awarded on Sept. 11, 2007, to Francesco Minolli, and assigned to Pomellato S.p.A., in Milan, Italy.

The patent covers two embodiments of the design: with and without diamond inlay on the claws holding the stone. Below the patent Figures 1 and 5, images of the pendant earrings are included, from top to bottom, in blue topaz, citrine, amethyst, prehnite, and light blue topaz.
