European Patent Awards – The 2018 winners!

The European Organization 2018 Award winners were announced on the occasion of the 2018 EPO Awards ceremony, held this day, in Saint Germain-en-Laye, France.

In the Industry category:  Agnès Poulbot and Jacques Barraud [FR], inventors of the self-regenerating tire tread.

In the Research category:  Jens Frahm {DE], inventor of real-time MRI

The members of the European Platform of Women Scientists EPWS are particularly happy of the large number of women inventors awardees, evidencing their huge creativity. They are great models for younger women scientistsan for girls considering to enter science and technology studies.
Hopefully the prizewinners lists of the coming years will confirm this tendency.
