The best-selling IKEA Myllra crib is a patented invention. The US design patent USD896544S1, titled Crib, was awarded on September 22, 2020, to the Swedish industrial designer Henrik Preutz.
The patent Figure 1, displaying a perspective view of the crib, appears below with an image of the marketed product. Notice the dotted lines on the drawing. The broken lines indicate that this part of the design is excluded from the claimed patent protection. In other words, the three decorative bars, depicted in front of the crib drawing, are not part of the patented design.
