The IKEA Blasverk pendant light is a patented design. The US design patent, USD1000679S1, titled Lamp, was awarded on October 3, 2023, to Carl Öjerstam, the Swedish industrial designer of the Blasverk pendant.
Below, the patent Figure 1 showing a bottom perspective view of the lamp, appears together with an image of the marketed product. Notice the dotted lines on the drawing. The broken lines indicate that this part of the design is excluded from the claimed patent protection. In other words, the pendant light suspender, shown with broken lines on the drawing, is not part of the patented design.
